1. Pay attention to component wear

During the operation of the equipment, the long-term friction between the materials and the bearings, as well as the moving jaws, can cause wear. If the wear is severe, the force on the crushing process will be uneven, and the output will be inconsistent in size. It is necessary to frequently check the gap of the bearings and the wear condition of the moving jaw liners. If the teeth of the liners are worn flat or the bearings shake severely, the original factory components should be replaced in time. Do not “operate with faults”.

2. Ensure proper adjustment of the discharge port

The size of the discharge port directly affects the particle size of the discharged material. Adjusting it before starting the machine is crucial. According to the equipment manual, based on the hardness and dryness of the material, the size can be adjusted using wedges or hydraulic devices. After adjusting, test it for a few minutes to ensure that the gap on both sides of the discharge port is consistent.

3. Inspect the circuitry and steering system

Incorrect wiring of the motor may cause the equipment to reverse, resulting in abnormal discharge. Before wiring, check the circuit diagram, and test the direction by jogging the motor before closing the switch. If it is incorrect, cut off the power and replace the wiring. Long-term reversal not only leads to uneven discharge but also may damage the bearings and gearbox.

4. Calibrate the position of the jaw plate

Only when the movable jaw and the fixed jaw have their tooth peaks properly aligned can the material be evenly crushed. If the jaw plates shift or are misaligned, it will have an impact. If the crushed materials are mostly in the form of sheets or strips, the machine should be stopped to check the jaw plate bolts and positioning pins.
