The consequences of rotor imbalance

Rotor imbalance will generate large inertial forces and inertial moments, thereby causing unstable operation of the impact crusher.

Rotor imbalance can lead to intensified component vibration, generate additional dynamic loads, disrupt the normal operating conditions of the impact crusher, cause excessively high bearing temperatures, shorten service life, and even result in cracks and damage to certain components.

The reasons for rotor imbalance

1) The quality of the rotor did not meet the standard. The manufacturer did not strictly follow the manufacturing requirements, and the rotor was unqualified.

2) The end face of the rotor body is severely worn, with uneven wear, causing the center of mass and the center of the rotor body not to be in the same position, which makes it impossible to ensure the static and dynamic balance of the rotor.

3) The uneven feeding of the impact crusher leads to uneven force on the rotor and disrupts its balance.

Solutions to rotor imbalance

1) Conduct balance tests on the rotor before putting it into production;

2) Raw materials should be fed evenly and continuously into the impact crusher to avoid uneven force on the rotor.

3) When replacing the impact hammer, it is best to replace it symmetrically or as a complete set, and install it correctly.
